Following the release of their infectious single Second Day Uptown, World’s End Press will deliver a similarly tasty treat to get us well and truly hyped for their fast approaching national tour. The band will release the Second Day Uptown EP on June 20.
The internationally-flavoured EP features the original track produced by Dan Whitford and mixed by Tony Hoffer, with a suite of remixes from a range of admired global artists including London’s Psychemagik, New York’s Slow Hands and Melbourne’s Bell Towers, each offering a fresh take on this magnificent, synth-pop gem.
The Psychemagik remix takes Second Day Uptown on a cosmic journey deep to the heart of the dancefloor, whilst Slow Hands’ sleek, sexy and sultry take highlights the original track’s muscle and vulnerability. Then there’s Bell Towers’ raw, Chicago-style rework, a mix that’s guaranteed to get you moving.
The EP will be released digitally on June 20, with a limited edition vinyl available for purchase throughout the band’s forthcoming tour and via selected retail outlets from July 13.
Kicking off in less than two weeks, the tour will celebrate World’s End Press’s first headlining solo performances in close to a year. Renowned for their wild, unbridled live sets, the boys are already firm favourites of festival goers the nation over, having performed on the crème de la crème of the circuit over the years. Tickets for the tour are now selling.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON SECOND DAY UPTOWN REMIXERS
UK production duo Psychemagik first attracted attention for their lush edits of classic tracks from the likes of Fleetwood Mac, Talking Heads and Wang Chung. They continued to turn heads with official remixes for Metronomy, Azari & III and The Time and Space Machine, along with their own highly regarded DJ mixes and original productions. Their supporters include Soulwax, Rob Da Bank, Lauren Laverne, Chris Coco and Tom Middleton.
One of the main proponents of the current slow-mo and sultry house revolution, Slow Hands aka New York’s Ryan Cavanagh is an organic specialist. His rich yet languid style bares all the hallmarks of the classical and compositional training he’s had, whilst everything from jazz to blues to trippy electronica inform the New Yorker’s well honed production palette. With releases on Wolf and Lamb, Permanent Vacation and Double Standards, Slow Hands is making his mark.
Bell Towers is the production moniker of Melbourne’s own musical maverick Rohan Bell Towers. Well known for establishing Melbourne’s leading avant club night ‘Bamboo Musik’, and DJing around town as Roman Wafers, his production and remix work is now impressing people the world over. Bell Towers recently released his Scavengers 12 inch on Hole in the Sky Records and has completed remixes for Canyons and Erik Omen. Word on the street is that there will be some exciting international release news from Bell Towers soon.
