Queens of the Stone Age frontman Joshua Homme is reviving his label Rekords Rekords and will re-release the first Queens of the Stone Age album in 2011 in a deal that will see Liberator Music (part of The Mushroom Group of Companies) partner up with Rekords Rekords for Australia and New Zealand and to kick the ball running with the release of three albums on 14 January 2011.

  • Queens of the Stone Age guitarist Alain Johannes’ solo debut Spark, a tribute to his late wife, Queens’ keyboardist Natasha Shneider.
  • Mini Mansion’s latest offering which was conceived on a break from Queens of the Stone Age by Michael Shuman who melded heads and locked arms with longtime friends Tyler Parkford and Zach Dawes in a dusty room in the San Fernando Valley.  Watch Mini Mansions new video: Mini Mansions YouTube video
  • And the re-release of the first Queens of the Stone Age self titled album which has been re-mastered with 3 bonus tracks from the original recording session.

Previous releases from Rekords Rekords include Homme’s Desert Sessions albums and Eagles Of Death Metal.

Having spent time touring with supergroup Them Crooked Vultures in 2010, Homme will return to Australia with Queens of the Stone Age to perform festival dates in Australia for Soundwave, and then back head into the studio to work on Queens album number six, due for release in 2011.
