ALTA return with their new single Fix It, a left field pop track that’s as salty as it is sweet. The single is an expansion for the duo (producer Julius Dowson and vocalist Hannah Lesser) who continue to propel the parameters of their sound, pushing their creative boundaries to make a track that is both unique, and undeniably catchy.

Focusing heavily on rhythms and percussive sounds, Fix It begins with commanding bass, building to Lesser’s sensually sweet vocal slotting into the heaving drum beats, before quickly taking their place at the forefront of the musical bed. The simplicity of the instrumental, allows the topline to shine, effortlessly intertwining itself to generate a sparkly and fierce body of sound.

ALTA create music that lives at the intersection of dance, experimental and pop; creating tracks that are exciting, unpredictable and engaging. There is a matureness in the choices behind Fix It, every drum hit and synth accent feels deliberate.

After signing to Soothsayer and releasing their EP Sincere in late 2016, ALTA continue to garner a strong following locally and overseas. Their single Plans was added to triple j and featured on a number of blogs and playlists around the world. Plans was a leap forward for the duo, with the track showcasing their love of experimental music while maintaining a strong pop feel.

This buzz around Plans led to a string of shows including sold out headline shows in Sydney and Melbourne, as well as festival sets at Let Them Eat Cake, Sugar Mountain and By The Meadow. In the coming months, the duo will be joining Kilter on his Australian tour in June and will be showcasing as part of Vivid’s Women in Electronic Music Showcase in Sydney on June 17.
