DMA'S - The End (Channel Tres Remix)

(Out now through I OH YOU)

Effortlessly oozy LA artist Channel Tres has injected his unorthodox union of four-on-the-floor and Compton into Sydney trio DMA’S by remixing their hit singleThe End’. The rework begins with Channel Tres’ instantly recognisable dulcet vocal tones progressing instantly into an undeniably addictive cut.

Taken from their sophomore album For Now, which debuted at #7 on the ARIA Charts and #13 on the UK Album Charts, DMA’S latest offering ‘The End’ once again reminds us of their knack for writing infectious pop songs.

While the original track delivers gentle guitars echoing across slow synths as Tommy O’Dell’s crooning vocals wrap them in pensive lyrics, Channel Tres’ reinvention of ‘The End’ brings a sensual dark rhythm that is enticing, but just as gentle as the original.

For Now has gained praise from media and fans alike, landing the coveted triple j Feature Album slot and receiving nods from the likes of Liam Gallagher, who called the record “BIBLICAL”, and Louis Tomlinson, who shared his love for the album on Twitter, calling it “fucking great!”

This year has been huge for DMA’S. Their For Now Tour has seen the trio so far play to over 100,000 fans across sold out AUS, NZ and UK headline shows. The band also took a coveted support slot at Liam Gallagher’s Finsbury Park show in London, playing to a 40,000 strong crowd and adding to a string of major festival appearances.
