After playing sold out headline shows around the country, Kyle Lionhart returns with his latest single ‘Sweet Girl’, from his forthcoming sophomore EP ‘Eleven And Two’.

Following the organic success of his first EP, Kyle was embraced with open arms during his ‘Call Back Home’ tour, and has since been working swiftly to release a collection of new tracks to his budding fan base.

‘Sweet Girl’ is a heartfelt single and personal track, told from the point of view of a father. Says Kyle of the lyrics:

“The song was inspired by a conversation I had with my father; he communicated how he may have approached the way he handled some of the more fragile and pivotal points of his daughters adolescence. If only he’d known what affect these moments would have later in her life & the worry that forever now he will be chasing that ‘Sweet Girl’, and the memory that fades with her.”

His stripped back guitar and vocals pair beautifully with the humble addition of piano and bass drum- simplistic yet powerful as the melody holds its own. It’s a smooth song that warms the soul, and it’s easy to see why fans latch themselves onto Kyle’s journey as an artist.

Hailing from NSW’s Byron Bay, Kyle Lionhart was a standout busker on the streets of the surf town, and quickly built his reputation from playing on the pathways to playing alongside some of the best in Bluesfest and Splendour in the Grass- sharing the stage with Foy Vance, Ash Grunwald and Kim Churchill. Since then, Kyle has kept himself busy, releasing his debut EP ‘Keep In Mind’ in 2015. Kyle’s ‘Call Back Home’ tour saw the musician play packed shows across the nation, selling out his show in Sydney’s favourite Newtown Social Club. In amongst writing, recording, Kyle Lionhart’s new EP ‘Eleven And Two’ will be sure to please his growing fanbase, with his stunning sounds of soul and folk.
