To celebrate the release of their new album Instant Pleasures today, Shed Seven present their new single ‘It’s Not Easy’. ‘It’s Not Easy’ is another huge anthem, which showcases Rick Witter’s incredible vocals and captures the true essence of the band and Instant Pleasures.

When Shed Seven were writing for Instant Pleasures, their first new music in 16 years, ‘It’s Not Easy’ was the initial spark which opened the floodgates. The years of boxed away ideas all came flowing out back to their roots, like they did when the band were first starting out.

On the new track Witter says “after releasing the massive singalong ‘Room In My House’ as the comeback single, we thought we’d follow it up with another massive singalong. ‘It’s Not Easy’ was one of the first tunes we wrote after deciding to stage a comeback and this particular track has all the hallmarks of a classic Shed Seven single. Soaring guitars, brass and witty lyrics about everyday life and mundane things being difficult to achieve.”

Shed Seven were one of the leading lights of Britpop. They have two UK gold albums, 15 UK Top 40 singles, and four UK Top 20 albums under their belt. After breaking up in 2003, Shed Seven reformed for a greatest hits tour in 2007 and have periodically played shows since. Instant Pleasures will be their first new music since the release of Truth Be Told in 2001.
