York’s finest Shed Seven are set to make one of indie-rock’s most triumphant returns this winter. Having recently signed to BMG, Shed Seven will release a new album Instant Pleasures in November and then embark on a UK tour that’s seen them shift more tickets than ever before.

Taken from the forthcoming album Instant Pleasures, ‘Room In My House’ is the first new music from Shed Seven in 16 years. It’s a thunderous indie-rock anthem with Rick Witter’s distinctive vocals driving a track that wouldn’t sound out of place on any of Shed Seven’s classic albums.

Instant Pleasures is produced by legendary producer Youth from Killing Joke (Kate Bush, U2, Depeche Mode). Shed Seven frontman Rick Witter remarks that the album title is not only a comment on the tech-obsessed, social media crazy, instantaneous world, it’s a tongue in cheek reference to the music, saying “if you were to play our album you’d be instantly pleasured”.

Shed Seven were one of the leading lights of Britpop. They have two UK gold albums, 15 UK Top 40 singles, and four UK Top 20 albums under their belt. After breaking up in 2003, Shed Seven reformed for a greatest hits tour in 2007 and have periodically played shows since. Instant Pleasures will be their first new music since the release of Truth Be Told in 2001.
