released their highly acclaimed follow up to BLISS RELEASE,   DREAM CAVE  in August last year and since then haven’t had time to rest on any laurels. Keeping busy throughout 2014, the band kicked off the year touring with St. Jerome’s Laneway Festival, Sasquatch Festival, Metronomy throughout North America and a massive 35 show acoustic tour across Australia, before moving back home to Sydney from their London base of 4 years.

Whilst on tour with Metronomy, Cloud Control made a particularly awesome new fan called Brett Mullen at the North Carolina show. Brett and a crew of absolute legends created one of the best fan videos Cloud Control have ever been sent. So good in fact that the band and Ivy League had to share it with everyone.

In Brett’s own words “My hopes was to simply give back the joy I experienced while hearing the album. I kept seeing this story over and over when listening to the final track. So I thank Heidi for being wonderful enough to actually respond back to my script in the first place.”

Cloud Control have now moved back to Sydney in order to excitedly start work on album #3, setting up studio camp in Redfern. Next year the guys are going bush and moving out to the stunning Arthur Boyd Bundanon Trust property in rural NSW, where they have been accepted into the residency programme to keep writing their follow up to Bliss Release and Dream Cave.

The band will round out this year spectacularly with a tour in India where they’ll play NH7 Weekender in Kolkata and Bangalore, play the Aussie BBQ in New Delhi and Mumbai along with Sarah Blasko, saying good bye to 2014 at Falls Festival in Lorne and Byron Bay. Just announced today, Al and Heidi will be jumping on stage with Ivy League office favourites, The Preatures, to cover a very special track from a rather iconic Australian band of more recent times. In celebration of 40 years of triple j, the Beat The Drum event is all happening at Sydney’s The Domain, Friday 16 January 2015, for details head to the triple j website.

Cloud Control couldn’t be keener about being back on home shores to work on their third album and start sharing some brand new musical gems! Watch this space.
