DMA'S - JF2A0850

It is with infinite pride that I OH YOU today announce DMA’S stunning sophomore album For Now, released on Friday 27 April worldwide, has debuted at #7 on the Australian ARIA Album Chart and #13 on the Official Album Chart in the UK. The chart debuts represent the highest positions in both regions for the band – Hills End debuted in Australia at #8 and #36 in the UK.

The critical acclaim for DMA’S on For Now has been widespread. triple j named For Now Feature Album for its week of release and the praise did not stop there. What followed was a whirlwind album campaign before the band departed Australia for their huge UK and European tour. DMA’S made their Australian television live performance debut on ABC’s Tonightly with Tom Ballard, graced newspaper magazine covers throughout the country, picked up a barrage of positive reviews and a visibility online, on socials and on the streets that made them impossible to miss!

‘Rough-around-the-edges charm with that timeless rock ‘n’ roll attitude…’ Clash

‘…one of the finest songwriting collectives in the country…’ – Red Bull Music

‘…the album moves between passionate ballads and upbeat rock, held together with polished production, passionate melodies, and daydream-inducing lyrics.’ – triple j

‘On For Now DMA’S have proven they are far from one-trick ponies.’ – Beat

DMA’S flexed their progression and diversity as a group in the lead up to the release of For Now by dropping a handful of singles and tracks including ‘Dawning’, ‘In The Air’, ‘For Now’ and ‘Break Me’. For Now has been given the tick of approval from the likes of Liam Gallagher, who called the album “BIBLICAL!”, Reggie Watts, who posted a photo of first single ‘Dawning’ on his Instagram account with the caption “Yess, the DMA’S” and British musician Andy Bell claiming, “DMA’S are the future”.

DMA’S are currently amidst the For Now Tour, their biggest international tour to date, for which they have sold in excess of 30,000 tickets throughout the world. The band are currently playing to sold out crowds across the UK and Europe, after which they’ll return to home soil on an almost completely sold out Australian run next month (supported by Hatchie) before hitting the stage at Splendour in the Grass towards the end of July.

DMA’S have proven on For Now that there is certainly no second album syndrome here.
