The wait is over – Green Day’s acclaimed Revolution Radio World Tour kicked off its Australian and New Zealand leg with an explosive Perth Arena show overnight!

‘Green Day have created a must-see show for the ages.’ – Primo Life

‘With a superb arena show like this and a back catalogue of hits spanning 20 years, you can expect Green Day to bring the masses out for years to come.’ – 100% Rock

‘’Still Breathing’ heavily after the insane burst of energy, Armstrong had little time to regroup before returning to the runway in a denim jacket and screaming his lungs out during ‘Forever Now’ and ‘American Idiot’, leading into a theatrical finale in ‘Jesus Of Suburbia’ and touching solo performance of ‘Ordinary World’ and ‘Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)’.’ – TheMusic

‘Punk heroes Green Day [have] once again proven how consistently exceptional they are.’ – Wall Of Sound

The mammoth 2.5 hour setlist featured new favourites like ‘Bang Bang’ and ‘Still Breathing’ from the trio’s latest album Revolution Radio (out now via Warner Music), alongside anthems like ‘American Idiot’ and ‘Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)’,  with a few covers thrown in for good measure.

In his interview with Music Feeds, bassist Mike Dirnt says of the tour:

“It’s like ‘A Night With Green Day’. There’s a lot of solidarity and fun in the room.,, We’ve got lots of energy and we’re playing a long time on stage and it’s just a great show. Over the years we’ve curated this, it’s like the best of everything we’ve ever done.”

The tour lands in Adelaide this Wednesday before hitting Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney and Auckland over the next two weeks. With three shows already completely sold out, act quick to pick up your tickets to one of the rock shows of the year!
