Jonathan Pie - Frontier Comedy - 928x400

Frontier Comedy are thrilled to announce that satirical comedy star Jonathan Pie has added a second and final show at the Athenaeum Theatre (Fri 25 May) by demand to his hotly-anticipated Australian debut next month.

Jonathan will also perform at Regal Theatre (Fri 18 May) for the Perth Comedy Festival, Enmore Theatre (Sat 19 May) for the Sydney Comedy Festival, The Street Theatre in Canberra (Sun 20 May), The Old Museum in Brisbane (Tue 22 May) and Melbourne’s Athenaeum Theatre (Sat 26 May). Tickets to all shows – including the extra Melbourne show (Fri 25 May) – are on sale now and selling fast!

★★★★ ‘It’s a staggering tour-de-force of righteous visceral rage from Tom Walker, the actor behind Pie, relishing the chance to unleash hell; then snapping back to TV professionalism in the crackle of an earpiece.’ Chortle (UK)

★★★★ ‘Brilliant, funny, angry, and above all intelligent.’ – Broadway Baby (UK)

Join Pie for a night of political comedy that soon descends into chaos. In Jonathan Pie: Back To The Studio, Pie attempts to host a night of serious discussions on current affairs whilst simultaneously attempting to smash the system from within. This is political satire at its finest.

The online viral sensation who satirises the world of politics and the media is known for venting his spleen in unguarded ‘off-camera’ rants; his videos have been viewed by millions worldwide. Pie is the brainchild of actor Tom Walker, who first brought the character to life in September 2015. He became a viral hit when he famously ‘lost it’ outside the British Houses of Parliament, and his fan base has continued to gain momentum ever since, with two live shows, countless pieces for television and radio, weekly online videos and a book Jonathan Pie – Off The Record.

Last year Pie’s debut live show sold out its entire 22-date UK tour with extra shows added to meet demand. Don’t miss your chance to catch Pie’s Australian debut this May – tickets won’t last long!
