Campaign Strategy Manager • Full Time • Melbourne

Mushroom Group is looking for a passionate, inventive and progressive marketing individual to fill the role of Campaign Strategy Manager from their Melbourne office.

Focused on developing, planning and managing strategic marketing campaigns, the successful candidate will be stepping into an exciting new role within a large and innovative communications team of digital, marketing, publicity and promotions specialists.

Key responsibilities:

  • Conceive, develop and coordinate bespoke marketing plans for Mushroom Group artists
  • Collaborate day to day with Mushroom Label/Live Managers, Artist Relations Managers and Artist Management, working closely with them on budgets, proposed roll outs and collateral
  • Collaborate with senior members of various Communications branches – Print/Online, TV, Radio/Streaming, Social + Content, Partnerships + Campaign Strategy – to build effective, integrated and considered campaigns for each artist/project
  • Manage and execute marketing budgets under the direction of key stakeholders, setting advance targets and developing ongoing marketing initiatives
  • Manage the creation and/or update of marketing tools and assets
  • Work with the Social + Content team to develop innovative digital campaigns for Mushroom’s artists and brands, including, but not limited to, social and direct-to-consumer EDM messaging
  • Work with the Social + Content team on the development of effective EDM and their delivery
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to increase brand awareness, fan-base and sales across each project
  • Coordinate and manage the Campaign Assistant so marketing plans can be executed successfully and implemented promptly
  • Track campaigns and analyse how they impact revenue/brand awareness and report to key stakeholders
  • Under the direction of the Head of Partnerships + Campaign Strategy, activate cross-promotional partnership marketing opportunities for campaigns


  • Minimum four years experience initiating and coordinating marketing and social media campaigns in a similar role within the music, entertainment or creative industries
  • A strong interest in, and broad knowledge of, music and pop culture
  • An awareness of the Australian market, music business developments, products, challenges and digital innovations
  • Creativity to devise and implement innovative and bespoke campaign ideas
  • Ability to confidently plan, run and manage all aspects of a marketing campaign to an exceptional standard
  • Outstanding organisation and time management skills – the ability to multitask and prioritise across a broad range of projects is crucial
  • Experience in programmatic advertising, social platform advertising, ecommerce/email marketing, streaming platform marketing and traditional advertising and marketing opportunities
  • Familiarity with core measurement tools such as Google Analytics and the ability to relay information in clear and timely reports to key stakeholders for each project
  • A team player who is comfortable working across a number of branches and accept input from others
  • Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills that can be adapted to the voice for each project
  • Must be tech savvy with a deep understanding and interest in current and forthcoming technologies in the marketing and advertising industry
